High School musical star Zac Efron may be doing another musical. Even though the young actor has said he wants to move on from movies involving singing and dancing, he might be considering a role in the movie adaptation of the Tony-winning Broadway musical Memphis.
The young heartthrob attended a performance of the Broadway show on Tuesday and it was his second time seeing the show in a month. His girlfriend, Vanessa Hudgens, accompanied him to the show along with producer Adam Shankman. Adam produced Zac’s movies Hairspray and 17 Again.
It is rumored that Zac wants the lead role of Huey Calhoun, a 1950s-era Memphis radio DJ.
