FULL INTERVIEW COMING TO POP CULTURE MADNESS SOON!
The majority of Scott Church‘s day, as a photographer, is spent either photographing beautiful, naked girls for Playboy Magazine (or a variety of other publications), or photographing your favorite rappers (most notably, Kool G Rap and the G-Unit Riderz).
These days, however, Church has a totally new project for the taking: “Drag,” a project which focuses on small-town drag queens in every day situations.
The point of the project, said Church, is to represent, visually, just how integrated into society the drag queen culture truly is — your neighborhood drag queen, said Church, is the guy pumping gas at the station, or doing laundry at the laundromat with you.
In this regard, Church hopes to promote understanding & communicate a sense of fun.
The video is produced by Harrisburg-based TJ Productions. You can catch Scott Church live in New York City on Saturday, June 11th, at Greenhouse in NYC (150 Varick Street, bet. VanDam & 6th), for the G-Unit Riderz Calendar Model Search (more details TBA), of which he will be a judge & co-host. (Other confirmed attendees include Playboy models, reality TV stars, NYC area radio stations, magazines, & more special surprises!)
