Federal prosecutors want actor Wesley Snipes behind bars as soon as possible.
Officials reportedly asked a judge to revoke bail for Snipes and order to him to prison immediately to begin serving a three-year sentence for failing to file federal income tax returns.
Snipes, star of the Blade franchise, was charged in 2006 with trying to illegally collect a $7.3 million tax return and deliberately failing to file tax returns for 2000 and 2005. He was convicted in 2008 for evading approximately $12 million in taxes.
Snipes earned more than $37 million in the period between 1999 and 2004.
