Henry Cavill, known for his role on ‘The Tudors,’ has been cast as the title role in the next Superman movie. The next movie will be directed by Zack Snyder of Warner Bros. Pictures.
“I also join Warner Bros., Legendary and the producers in saying how excited we are about the casting of Henry. He is the perfect choice to don the cape and ‘S’ shield,” said Snyder.
Cavill has been considered for the role of Superman previously. When McG was slated to direct ‘Superman Returns,’ Cavill was on the list to play the superhero; however, when Bryan Singer took the directing job, he cast Brandon Routh.
Before playing Superman, you can see Cavill in the movies “Immortals” and “The Cold Light of Day.”
