The classic college comedy, “National Lampoon’s Animal House” is currently being adapted into a stage musical, according to Universal Pictures Stage Productions.
The musical will feature a score by Canadian-alt rockers The Barenaked Ladies with direction and choreography by Casey Nicholaw, who also directed “The Book of Mormon.”
The film starred John Belushi, Tom Hulce, Stephen Furst, Tim Matheson, Peter Riegert, Karen Allen, Kevin Bacon, John Vernon and Donald Sutherland. Set in 1962, the movie chronicles the lives of unruly college frat boys and the efforts of their college dean to expel the members of Delta House.
No dates have been set for the developing musical.
