(PCM) It is no secret that Pokemon Go is all the rage and players will stop at nothing to collect all of the games adorable little creatures, even mobbing a capital city if necessary.
A clip has recently surfaced online that allegedly shows literally thousands of Taiwanese Pokemon Go players in a mad dash in the city’s Xinbeitou district on a hunt to catch an elusive Snorlax that has popped in the region. The Snorlax is relatively rare in the Pokemon universe so naturally everyone began to mob the area.
Watching the video is definitely surreal as the people are behaving in nearly the same way they would during some sort of terrorist attack or alien invasion. Chinese news agencies reveal that the Xinbeitou area has become a daily spot for thousands of players looking to catch the particularly exotic Pokemon that appear to populate the surrounding areas. It has gotten so bad that at times police reinforcements need to be brought in to control the hordes of people overcrowding the area.
While Pokemon Go is a wonderful way to keep individuals active and social, it is creating a lot of chaos around the world as well! There have been reports in a slew of major cities about game players putting themselves and others in dangerous situations while trying to catch Pokemon. Remember to play safe everyone and obey all posted rules and regulations!
