(PCM) Magical! That is what I thought after the first movie from The Lord of the Rings trilogy ended. Pure genius. The Fellowship of the Ring was one of the most amazing movies I had ever seen, and I WILL put that on the record.
The Oscar Academy felt the same way when they gave the trilogy an astounding 17 Oscar Awards. Not only that but the movies brought in $2.8 billion worldwide. I think it is safe to say that other people found it just as majestic.
Jackson has now finished shooting his next masterpiece, The Hobbit. The movie is, as the name suggests, after the book that follows the early adventures of Bilbo Baggins. Martin Freeman will be playing Bilbo Baggins with Ian McKellen, Elijah Wood, Orlando Bloom, and Cate Blanchett returning.
Although Jackson was the mastermind behind the first three films; it was actually Guillermo del Toro who was originally producing this piece. Once he dropped out, Jackson dropped in.
Shooting took nine months, until Jackson recently confirmed that principal photography had finally ended. The first installment arrives on December 14th with the second part coming out December of next year. Hopefully people will find this film just as…. PRECIOUSSSSSSssss!
