The ’90s are All That

Posted on July 26, 2011

After millions of nostalgic conversations between current 20 somethings about how Nickelodeon used to have the best TV shows when they were little, programmers took a hint and brought back some of the favorites.

Monday night on the Nickelodeon owned TV channel TeenNick, children born in the 80’s and early 90’s could catch a few episodes of that would send  them down memory lane. From midnight to 2 A.M. TeenNick showed one episode of four different programs that aired on Nickelodeon in the ’90s as part of their “The ’90s Are All That” feature.

The premiere night included episodes of All That, Kenan & Kel, Clarissa Explains it All, and Doug. The original air dates of these shows ranged from 1991 (Doug) to 1996 (Kenan & Kel). Its hard to believe that it has been 20 years since we first met Douglas Yancy Funnie and Patti Mayonnaise.

TeenNick plans on airing more of fans 90’s favorites in the midnight to 2 A.M. slot including Rugrats, The Amanda Show, Rocket Power, and Double Dare, among others. And with the outstanding numbers TeenNick pulled in that first night, we bet we’ll be seeing this 90’s block sticking around for quite some time!
