(PCM) A classic painting that has been missing for nearly a decade has finally been found.
Famed artist Henry Matisse’s painting, Odalisque in Red Pants, was last seen in the Caracas Contemporary Museum of Art before 2002, when it was discovered to have been stolen and replaced with a fake.
Officials have spent the past decade attempting to find the painting, and have only recently discovered it’s whereabouts in a Miami hotel.
Two people, Pedro Antonio Marcuello Guzman and Maria Martha Elisa Ornelas Lazo, were trying to sell the painting to undercover cops. The two have since been arrested.
