(PCM) Star Wars fans will soon be able to take their fandom to the high seas as Disney has now announced that starting in 2016 they will be announcing a new themed cruise called “Star Wars Day At The Sea”.
Fans can experience meet and greets with talent, “Star Wars” themed activities such a crafts, trivia and even a Jedi Training Academy experience. There will be themed-activities geared toward children and then quite a few nighttime activities for adult guests.
The plan is for the nightclub on the ship to be redecorated to look like the Mos Eisley cantina with various choice characters in attendance and specialty “Star Wars” themed cocktails will be served. The guests on the ship will also be treated to the a viewing of the first six “Star Wars” films, as well as, all episodes of the animated series “Star Wars Rebels”. Cosplay as their favorite characters is also definitely encouraged.
The announcement on which “Star Wars” cast member will be attending has yet to be revealed, however there will be quite a few on hand to mingle with guest, as well as, share some behind the scenes stories and anecdotes.
According to CNET.com, the “Star Wars Day At The Sea” cruise will only be available on Disney Fantasy Cruise Line eight select Western Caribbean sailings from January thru April 2016. Ahoy!
