Jon Bon Jovi is the latest name to be added to the cast line-up for the follow-up to Valentine’s Day, entitled New Year’s Eve.
The movie will tell the intertwining stories of a group of New Yorker’s as they go about celebrating New Year’s Eve.
Other actors and actresses in the cast include Robert De Niro, Halle Berry, Zac Efron, Ashton Kutcher, Jessica Biel, Lea Michele, Sarah Jessica Parker, Michelle Pfeiffer, Hilary Swank, and Sofia Vergara.
This will be Jon Bon Jovi’s first acting role since 2006’s National Lampoon’s Pucked. His role is a successful rock star who runs into his ex-girlfriend (Halle Berry) at a party.
Saturday Night Live’s Seth Myers has also been added to the cast. He will play a soon-to-be-father trying to win a prize of $25,000 to ease their financial struggles.
New Year’s Eve is currently slated for release on December 9th, 2011.
