Spice Girls Performing At Olympic Closing Ceremonies

(PCM) The Spice Girls are reuniting, for one night only! The British Girl band of the 90s are expected to perform in the 2012 London Olympic Closing Ceremonies. All five original members, Geri Halliwell (Ginger Spice), Emma Bunton (Baby Spice), Melanie Chisholm (Sporty Spice), Melanie Brown (Scary Spice) and Victoria Beckham (Posh Spice), will be there for the August 12 show. The Spice Girls split a decade ago, and their hit song and music video “Wannabe” was released 16 years ago. Feel old yet? But media reports that “Wannabe” may be one of the two songs they play in the ceremony, which would make sesne since it was number one in over 30 countries. They announced in June (their first time since 2008) the launch of their juke-box  musical “Viva Forever”. The show follows a star named Viva and her family as they are affected by a talent competition. Although Viva originally applied with a group, she is forced to decide whether to continue solo or not at all. Don’t forget “friendship never ends”. All of the five original Spice Girls are involoved in the new musical.
