(PCM) The residents of Celoron, New York have finally gotten their wish and the terrifying Lucille Ball statue that was stirring up a ton of controversy throughout the town has finally be replaced by a much for fitting tribute statue. The new statue looks amazingly better! Definitely a more fitting tribute to one of the most beloved actresses in the world.
The previous statue looked nothing like the late actress and residents were actually terrified of its’ appearance staring an online petition to have it either replaced or removed as soon as possible. A new bronze statue was erected and it is a far more accurate portrayal of the Lucille Ball we all know and love. The new statue was crafted by sculptor Carolyn Palmer and was unveiled by Celoron mayor Scott Schrecengost.
Fans and residents are thrilled with the new statue and even broke out into the humming the infamous “I Love Lucy” theme song during the unveiling ceremony. The last we heard, the scary Lucy statue was making it’s way around various haunted attractions in upstate New York, but no one knows for sure exactly where its’ final resting place will be. Residents are just happy that it is finally gone and many hope to never see it again!
Here’s hoping the new statue has wonderful life!
