(PCM) Nobel Peace Prize Concert organizers announced today that Sarah Jessica Parker and Gerard Butler will host the 19th annual Nobel Peace Prize Concert on Tuesday, December 11th in Oslo, Norway at the Oslo Spektrum arena.
The Concert will feature previously announced artists including Jennifer Hudson, Seal, Karpe Diem, Laleh, Susanne Sundfor, with additional artists to be announced in the coming days.
“It’s such a privilege to be part of this year’s Nobel Peace Prize Concert,” said Sarah Jessica Parker. “I am honored to be sharing the stage with such amazing performers to promote the power of peace around the world.”
“I’m deeply honored to have been asked to be a part of such a remarkable celebration of humanity,” said Gerard Butler. “The European Union has shown the world what is possible when forces unite in peace. It’s a joy to stand alongside these magnificent artists and celebrate the EU and its contribution to world peace.”
This year’s Nobel Peace Prize Concert will honor the European Union (EU) “for having over six decades contributed to the advancement of peace and reconciliation, democracy and human rights in Europe.” The award is given annually to an individual or organization whose work exemplifies a spirit of hope and leadership that will help promote peace in the world.
