Ryan Reynolds and Bradley Cooper Buddy Up

Buddy cop movies are a tried-and-true formula in Hollywood.  Although recent attempts have proven a bit flat, allthough enjoyable (i.e. Cop Out), there is still a charm about two guys working together to solve a crime… with guns. The latest offering will feature Ryan Reynolds and Bradley Cooper, as Risky Business is reporting that the duo will star in a Sheldon Turner (Up in the Air) written adventure. The article posits, “The actioner is meant to have an updated Lethal Weapon flavor that plays into edgier R-rated territory.” That doesn’t sound like it sucks, which is a good thing.  Plus, Reynolds and Cooper are both in high demand, and deservedly so.  Maybe this one will be a winner.     Just for your information, Blowback was the original title of the script when it was  pitched five years back, and Dwayne Johnson was attached as one of the lead roles. The plot involves the two leads, cops, who have to un-retire their fathers, former cops, to help them solve a case… and then hilarity ensues, followed by explosions. Article written by Lee C.
