We are deeply saddened to report the tragic passing of “Jackass” star Ryan Dunn. Dunn was the victim of a horrific car crash that occurred at approximately 3:00am this morning off of Rt. 322 in West Goeshen Twnshp in Pennsylvania. Details about what ultimately caused the crash are still being investigated, however Dunn did post a picture on this Twitter page about two hours prior to the crash of himself and two friends with a drink and cigarette in hand.Police are confirming that speed may have been a factor.
The news of Ryan Dunn’s passing was confirmed by April Margera, the mother of Dunn’s “Jackass” co-star and best friend Bam Margera. April also revealed that there was an unidentified passenger in Dunn’s vehicle who also passed away at the scene, however police have not yet released a name as they are waiting to make a positive identity via autopsey later this afternoon.
It is being reported by several sources that Dunn was the one behind the wheel, when his 2007 Porsche flew over a guardrail and into a wooded area before bursting into flames. Both bodies were severely burned and could not be immediately identified, and it was stated that Dunn was ultimately identified by his tattoos and hair. The image above shows the extent of damage to the vehicle and was apparently posted by the towing company via Twitter.
Dunn is best known for his crazy stunt-work with the “Jackass” franchise, however he has also done work with “Viva La Bam” his own show “Homewrecker” and the film “Haggard”. Dunn was 34 years old.
