It’s been over a decade since Regis Philbin and Kathie Lee Gifford have co-hosted together, so it’s about time they broke that dry spell! Kathie Lee announced on this morning’s show that Regis will be joining her Wednesday during the fourth hour of NBC’s “Today.”
The last time these two shared the stage was over 12 years ago when Gifford left “Live! with Regis and Kathie Lee in 2000.
“We just pick up where we left off,” Gifford said, adding that Philbin said he did not plan to attend the show’s pre-production meeting on Wednesday, jokingly asking her, “Who’s going to tell Regis what to say?”
“I’m really looking forward to it and [to] see if we’ve still got it,” said Gifford, adding, “We’re just going to let him show up and we’ll let the sparks fly. Should be fun!” Gifford said.
