Ruby Lawrence, 21, was trying to raise 1,000 pounds by climbing Mount Snowdon to raise money in memory of her soldier boyfriend who was killed by a roadside bomb in Afghanistan. During the climb she fell off a 20 ft ledge.
Luckily, the gorgeous Prince William was busy doing his SAS helicopter training at RAF Valley in Anglesey, North Wales. The Prince helped guide the helicopter in terrible weather conditions in order to have medics airlift Lawrence.
When asked her thoughts on the rescue, Lawrence told the Daily Express “It was a shock to find out he was flying the helicopter and it’s a shame I didn’t realize it at the time, I just want to thank the Prince and all of the team involved in my rescue because they did a really good job. If I had been up there on my own, I would have died”.
Lawerence is now at home in Hereford nursing a broken leg. Get better soon!!
