(PCM) Brad Lee Davis, a 33-year old Oklahoma man has been formally charged with the murder of his stepfather 58-year-old Denver St. Clair with the cause of death being atomic wedgie, which caused the victim to suffocate on his own underwear.
Not to make light of this tragic situation, but I somehow never imagined that death by atomic wedgie would be something that would ever occur and that I would ever type that phrase. It just sounds so ridiculous!
The crime occurred after the family got into a drunken scuffle in their home after St. Clair supposedly spoke ill about Davis’s mother. Davis then grabbed St. Clair by his underwear and allegedly pulled the elastic waistband of St. Clair’s underwear over his head and around his neck.
The medical examiner for the case claims that St. Clair perished due to asphyxiation and blunt force trauma. St. Clair’s elastic waistband was stretched over his head and that it left ligature marks around his neck. Blood splatter was also found in several other areas of the home.
Davis is currently being held without bond for first-degree murder, but is claiming that the atomic wedgie was given in self-defense, saying that St. Clair hit him first. Authorities believe that there may actually be more than meets the eye with his case and it appears that the crime scene could have been manipulated by Davis so that it appeared to be in self-defense.
