(PCM) Fresh off the success of releasing the classic NES mini, Nintendo has now revealed that they will release the SNES mini (Super Nintendo) further playing off the nostalgia of gamers across the globe.
Nintendo released the original Super Nintendo console back in 1992 and it featured some truly memorable games such as “Super Mario World”, “Super Metroid”, “Super Mario Kart” and “Super Castlevania” to name a few.
It appears that the new SNES mini will feature two controllers instead of just one and will be slightly larger in size that the NES mini that was released by Nintendo last year. The SNES mini will be available for purchase on September 29th and it is expected that these consoles will once again fly off the shelves much the same as the NES mini. Nintendo claims they will be producing more SNES mini’s than they did with the NES mini to keep the consoles in stock.
The SNES mini will come pre-loaded with 20 games and one surprising game that will be found on the console will be “Star Fox 2” which was slated for initial release back in 1995, but never actually made it to stores. Nintendo also revealed that they will be expanding the cables on the new console to allow further reach.
