Entrepreneurial Fashionista Donnella Tilery will be hosting the New Jersey Fashion Week March Cocktail Mixer in the Chandelier Room at the W Hotel in Hoboken, NJ, this Friday the 25th. Tilery will be joined by co-hosts Kim Granatell from “The Real Housewives of New Jersey” along with Tom Murro from Celebritymagnet.com.
The event already has 300 plus models, retailers, designers, fashion enthusiasts, salons, and reality stars in attendance. On the list for this Hoboken event includes: The Mayor of Hoboken, Producer of “The Wendy Williams Show” Michael Newborn, “Jerseylicious” and “Jersey Couture” cast members, Mrs New Jersey Claire Pavlinec, NBA Star Eric Williams, Olympic Boxer Eric Kelly, “The Housewives of New Jersey;” and the list keeps growing.
This event is a follow-up to the first ever New Jersey Fashion Week that was founded, created, and produced by Tilery. This past October the Garden State got a chance to show off its own style, which does not mean with 3-inch poofs and smokey eyes. Designers from Italy, New York, and New Jersey displayed their finest on the runways of the Pleasantdale Chateau in West Orange.
“First of all, everyone rolls their eyes when you say, New Jersey Fashion Week,” said Tilery. This might be the case, but the first-ever New Jersey Fashion Week proved these people wrong. The crowd loved the event as well. “New York should be jealous,” said Murro. “This was better and simply more fun than any show I’ve seen in New York.”
The event pulled in more than 600 guests and raised thousands in ticket sales for the Susan G. Komen For The Cure North Jersey Affiliate. Tilery has established Susan G. Komen as the charity she will continue to donate to in future shows, and this year plans to have celebrities walk down the aisle wearing pink for Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
Now that she finished the first New Jersey Fashion Week, she is currently working on the second one. The official dates for the 2011 New Jersey Fashion Week will be October 9th-13th with pre-show events around New Jersey over the next several months hosted by Tilery. This includes the Mixer being held this Friday.
Murro and Granatell will be co-hosting these events to promote fashion and style in New Jersey. And, CelebrityMagnet.com will be providing the official 2011 New Jersey Fashion Week red carpet coverage. This year will not be the year of the Jersey fist pump, but Jersey pumps!
