New J.J Abrams Series Has Female Lead

Lost co-creator and executive producer J.J. Abrams has cast Taraji P. Henson for his new CBS drama Person of Interest. Henson, who was nominated for an Oscar for The Curious Case of Benjamin Button has also¬† starred in movies like Tyler Perry’s I Can Do Bad All By Myself, and the Lifetime made-for-TV-movie Taken From Me: The Tiffany Rubin Story. Interest will center around an ex-CIA agent who is recruited by a billionaire to fight crime in New York City. Henson is playing the role of Carter, a female detective. Lost’s Michael Emerson has also been confirmed to star in the series. The role for the ex-CIA agent has reportedly been yet to be cast.
