Man Strips Down in Protest of TSA at Portland International

Violence is never the answer…but then again, neither is stripping down naked! Public stripping in protest of TSA screeners seems to be the new thing to do, as another incident involving stripping and TSA is added to the growing list of naked protests. John E. Brennan, 49, was heading from Portland to San Jose, California on Tuesday, when he decided to take off all his clothes and pass through security completely naked. He caused two security lanes to be temporarily closed, not to mention forced “some passengers to cover their eyes and their children’s eyes while others looked, laughed, and took photos,” the police report said. “When interviewed about his actions, Mr. Brennan stated he flys (sic) a lot and had disrobed as a form of protest against TSA screeners who he felt were harassing him,” CNN reports. Brennan refused to put his clothes back on, even after repeat requests by the TSA. He was arrested and booked in the Multnomah County Jail. Believe it or not, he was not under the influence of drugs or alcohol, just an angry man sick of TSA pat-downs! According to the Huffington Post, just last week a woman stripped at a Denver airport when asked to put out a cigarette. In November 2010, a college student stripped down to a Speedo in protest, as did someone in a wheel-chair from Oklahoma. The things we do to our bodies!
