A Kentucky man was arrested this week after he siphoned gasoline from a police car – a misdemeanor that didn’t come to the attention of cops until he posted a picture of himself in the act on Facebook.
Michael Baker, 20, was swiping the gas last month from a Jenkins Police Department squad car, and as seen in the photo above, he made sure to give the camera the middle figure while he was at it.
Jenkins police got a hold of the photo, and arrested Baker Monday evening for theft by unlawful taking, according to an arrest warrant, which alleges that he “stole gas from a Jenkins City Police Cruiser” and then “posted a picture of his theft on facebook.”
The picture was removed from the social networking site, but Baker informed his friends through a status update that, “[I] just got out of jail.” He later added in a post that “yea lol i went too jail over facebook.”
