Lady Gaga dominated the MTV Europe Music Awards in Madrid on Sunday, picking up prizes for best female, best pop act and best song (“Bad Romance”).
Gaga, with five nominations, could not attend the award ceremony but accepted her award via video while in Budapest.
Lady Gaga was not the only American act leading the award nominations. Katy Perry also help five nominations. Perry won the best video category for “California Girls”.
Justin Bieber, Canadian sensation, was the only main winner that wasn’t American.

– Best Live Act: Linkin Park
– Best Rock: 30 Seconds to Mars
