Victoria’s Secret model and Project Runway host Heidi Klum separated from husband and singer Seal about two months ago. Yesterday she officially filed for divorce from him at the Los Angeles Superior Court.
The two had been together for seven years, which is probably why it took them awhile to remove that important ring from that important finger.
Klum stated that the split was due to irreconcilable differences and is seeking physical custody of their four kids. They have, although, reached a post nuptial agreement regarding division of property.
According to E! Online, Seal had said this about the split:
“I think we were shocked,” Seal explained. “You go into these things with the greatest intentions when you say ‘I do’ and you say ”Till death do us part.’ Those vows hold value. They are not just words. These things happen.”
