(PCM) The words Kanye West and controversy always seem to go hand in hand and he is once again stirring the pot with his latest music video for the song “Famous” off his latest album release “The Life Of Pablo”. Despite the fact that the album has been out since Valentine’s Day, “Famous” is still the only official single and the first track off the album to receive a music video, and a very NSFW one at that, but from Kanye would you expect anything less.
As he recently tweeted, “Can somebody sue me already? #Ill wait”, Kanye already realizes that he could be in hot water for his video’s depicting of several high-profile celebrities in the nude laying on a massive bed together. Many of the naked celebs featured in the video are realistic looking wax figures, however there are definitely a few such as Kanye, himself, his wife Kim Kardashian, singer Rihanna, and Caitlyn Jenner who may actually be real, judging by the bodily movements when taking a closer look at the video.
Other celebrities whose naked likeness is represented are Taylor Swift, Donald Trump, Vouge editor Anna Wintour, Chris Brown, Amber Rose, Ray J and shockingly Bill Cosby. Kanye claims the video, which is only currently available for viewing on Tidal, is a comment on fame and he says that other celebrity friends he shared the video with began complaining because they wanted to “be in the bed”.
Love him or hate him, Kanye always has a very unique and artistic viewpoint on pop culture and is never afraid to push the limits for the sake of art and social commentary. Some celebrities featured in the video have already spoken out about having their nude likeness splayed out in the video. While, Chris Brown was jokingly complaining about his “plumber’s crack”, Taylor Swift is said to be horrified by her depiction in the video. Other celebrities have yet to publicly comment.
You can see a shortened snippet of the video below, keep in mind that it is incredibly NSFW and contains both implied and actual nudity.
