(PCM) The Jelly Belly company, well known for coming up with some pretty interesting flavors for jelly beans, has recently unveiled their newest flavor creation: Draft Beer flavored jelly beans.
According to the Jelly Belly website, Beer has been a highly-requested flavor for decades, and after years of perfecting the formulation, we’re ready to share this new product with the world. The effervescent and crisp flavor is packed in a golden jelly bean with an iridescent finish. While Draft Beer packs a flavor punch, it is alcohol free.
While this is first beer flavored jelly bean, the company has offered alcohol inspired flavors in the past such as Mai Tai which were introduced back in 1977. Other cocktail flavors include Strawberry Daiquiri, Pina Coloda, Peach Bellini, Margarita and more which also contain all the flavor of the drink but no actual alcoholic content.
The company claims that along with the Draft Beer flavored jelly beans, they have also unveiled the chocolate-flavored tabasco flavored jelly bean as well. These two flavors are geared more toward the male demographic and a chance for the company to branch away a bit from it’s targeted demographic of 25-54 year old women.
If you are curious about the taste of the Draft Beer jelly bean, it can be compared to hefeweizen, as it is “fresh” and “crisp” with a hint of honey. The company is hoping that the new flavors will find a fan-base and will remain in the company for quite a long time.
Sound off below: Would you try any of the new flavors? and Are there any new flavors of jelly bean you would like to see?
