Now VladTV is reporting that a Brooklyn bar was banned from having a 13-hour marathon screening of the Star Wars saga. Speaking through lawyers, George Lucas issued a cease-and-desist letter to the bar.
As VladTV explained, “The lawyers explained screening the movies would violate copyright infringements and added that there was a moratorium on public “Star Wars” screenings.
200 fans were expected to gather at the bar last Sunday, but the legal documents quickly put organizers in a pinch, who stated they were bothered because they didn’t have the chance to possibly “work something out.”
