(PCM) In Gravity, Dr. Ryan Stone (Sandra Bullock) is a brilliant medical engineer on her first shuttle mission, with veteran and soon to be retiring astronaut Matt Kowalsky (George Clooney) in command of the flight.
During a routine spacewalk,in an effort to fix the Hubble Space Telescope, the shuttle is destroyed by space debris, leaving Stone and Kowalsky completely alone – tethered to nothing but each other and spiraling out into the blackness, and hoping that Mission Control can still hear them and perhaps even help.
The pair face their fate alone and afraid, in the wide open space, like many couples in an IKEA store.
