Glee creator and executive producer Ryan Murphy is on the brink of signing a four-year, $24 million deal with 20th Century Fox TV to ensure his continued work on the smash hit.
The deal could net Murphy up to $10 million per year and will include profits from Glee soundtracks, merchandise, and touring productions. Murphy is also not required to work solely for FOX – the deal now allows him to pursue additional TV and musical projects.
It is rumored that the 44-year-old is also considering a large scale, Glee-based musical production. It is unclear whether or not the musical will be for the stage or the screen, or whether Broadway is on the horizon, but one thing is for sure — Ryan Murphy is raking it in!
