Former host of Food Network’s Calorie Commando, Juan-Carlos Cruz, was arrested Thursday after he allegedly tried to hire homeless people to murder someone for him.
One of the homeless men came forward to the Santa Monica police, and he or she also informed the police of the intended target: Cruz’s wife! The man formerly known for making low-calorie versions of comfort food was concocting a plan to kill his wife.
According to TMZ, Cruz is scheduled to be arraigned this afternoon, and will plead not guilty.
He is currently being held on $5 billion bail.
