The cover story from the new issue of Us Weekly features an interview with Denise Richards! She opens up about her relationship with Charlie Sheen and explaining the “goddesses” to her daughters, as well as an exclusive excerpt from her memoir.
About having nice things to say about Sheen in her book, “The Real Girl Next Door,” she says, “I didn’t want to be sitting here as a bitter ex-wife trashing my ex-husband and saying all these nasty things about the father of my children. Everyone has heard about our nasty split. It’s an up-and-down relationship. But we get through those down times. That’s just the nature of an addict.” She continues, “I have a sense of humor about it. I’ve accepted him for who he is.”
Of one particular night out, she recounts, “Charlie invited me to this dinner with “friends,” and once I realized what these women did for a living, I thought, It’s one meal; you can suck it up and get through it. It’s not my place to judge how they make a paycheck. I wasn’t going to storm off. But then as the night progressed, I felt it would be best if I wasn’t at the dinner table and left early because I had an excuse — I had to get up early for Howard Stern.” And of explaining the “Goddesses” to her daughters, she says, “I don’t explain the goddesses to the girls. They’re not at the age where I think that’s appropriate. At the moment, it’s public knowledge that the goddesses aren’t around, so I don’t have to explain it!”
About being accused of stealing Richie Sambora from Heather Locklear, Richards says “I did not steal someone’s husband. Did I date a former friend’s ex-husband? Yes. Did I break up a marriage? No. I understand ‘girl code.’” Richards also shares who she turns to, adding, “I do this supper club every month with different women: Lisa Rinna, Nancy O’Dell, Ali Sweeney, Ali Landry, Holly Robinson Peete. We each bring a dish to someone’s house and get the table all fancy with candles. We talk about anything and everything and whatever we discuss stays at the table. We relate to a lot of the same things and we’re incredibly supportive.”

JENNIFER AND JUSTIN: Shopping for a House!
Aniston and Theroux have been searching for a new pad. Too much, too soon? After just four months of dating, Jennifer Aniston and Justin Theroux are ready for a home of their own. The actress, 42, is “househunting, and Justin has been involved every step of the way,” a source tells Hot Stuff. “He plans to live with her.” The couple want “something cozy and private,” adds the insider. Another sign it’s serious: Aniston recently introduced Theroux to her dad, soap star John Aniston, over dinner at Delmonico’s in L.A.’s Encino. Says a witness, “She seemed nervous.” Meanwhile, Theroux’s friends have bigger concerns. “There’s talk in Justin’s circle that he’s having a midlife crisis,” says a pal of the writer-actor, who split with his girlfriend of 14 years, Heidi Bivens, in the spring — and who turns 40 on August 10. “Everything seems to be moving at warp speed.”
ALEXANDER & KATE: It’s Over!
Guess it wasn’t true love. Hot Stuff has learned exclusively that True Blood star Alexander Skarsgård and 21 actress Kate Bosworth have ended their nearly two-year relationship. “It was very mutual,” confirms a source. “And it happened a while ago.” And while Bosworth, 28, was photographed getting a comforting hug from ex Orlando Bloom (now wed to Miranda Kerr) back on July 7, Skarsgård, 34, has been embracing his freedom. At a July 21 Film District bash at Comic-Con in San Diego, he flirted with a brunette — and left the party with her. Says a source, “He’s single — and he is loving the attention!”
Penn Pals Around With Zoë
Penn Badgley has been zooming all over NYC with Zoë Kravitz. The Gossip Girl star, 24, and the X-Men: First Class actress, 22, had dinner at Five Leaves in Brooklyn July 16, left the July 18 NYC Friends With Benefits premiere party in a cab together at 1:45 A.M. — then caught a showing of Horrible Bosses the following day. Does this mean it’s over for Kravitz and her X-Men costar Michael Fassbender, 34, who have been dating since last fall? “She is figuring it out,” a Kravitz insider tells Hot Stuff. “It’s not a black or white thing.”
