(PCM) It has long been speculated for years, however a love affair between “Star Wars” co-stars Carrie Fisher and Harrison Ford was never confirmed, that is until now! Actress Carrie Fisher, who portrayed Princess Leia in the film franchise has officially revealed that she did indeed have an “intense” love affair with her married co-star Harrison Ford while they were filming “Star Wars”. Fisher was 19 years old at the time and Ford was 33.
The filming for “Star Wars” lasted about three months, which Fisher reveals is about the length of time their love affair lasted. All of the juicy details can be found in Fisher’s new book “The Princess Diarist”, however People Magazine was given a steamy excerpt that reads ““It was Han and Leia during the week, and Carrie and Harrison during the weekend. I looked over at Harrison. A hero’s face — a few strands of hair fell over his noble, slightly furrowed brow,” she writes. “How could you ask such a shining specimen of a man to be satisfied with the likes of me?”
Fisher closely guarded the pairs secret romance for over 40 years and finally decided to share their story with the world after going through several of the old journals she kept during that time. The affair apparently began after a birthday party for director George Lucas. Fisher reveals that the relationship came to a natural end once filming was completed and there was no ill will between the two when all was said and done, although we are pretty sure Harrison’s wife at the time would not have been to thrilled.
Ford was given a warning about the excerpt from Fisher’s new book, however he has not released any official statement.
