Can You Tell Me How To Get To Sesame Street?

Sesame Street, the popular preschool educational television show, will have a new address near the nation’s capital. The Sesame Street Workshop is teaming up with The National Childrens Museum to create an exhibit featuring Big Bird and Elmo. Children can come see the famous Muppet’s exhibit at the National Harbor in Maryland, just outside of D.C. This will be the first time they have been permanently placed inside a museum; in the past they’ve been traveling on the road. The President and CEO of the museum, Kathy Dwyer Southern said that the characters on Sesame Street will aid as virtual guides to the children who visit. They’re also adding an Early Learners gallery which will feature the famous Muppet’s as well. Don’t get too excited just yet; this $182.6 million exhibit isn’t scheduled to open until 2013.
