(PCM) Graffiti art on a brick wall in Melbourne, Australia has become the center of controversy after an artist by the name of Lushsux recently painted a burqua to “cover up” his bikini-clad mural of Hillary Clinton. The city council in the area deemed the bikini mural to be both indecent and offensive and demanded that it be removed.
Instead of removing the mural, Lushsux decided to make a statement and painted a black burqa over the mural exposing only Clinton’s blue eyes. He added a caption to the newly modified mural which reads “If this Muslim woman offends u, u r a bigot, racist, sexist Islamophobe.” The artist hoped that the message would drive away any additional criticism, however the city council was still not pleased with the changes.
This is no longer a wall of a supposed “offensive and near naked” Hillary Clinton, a beautiful Muslim woman. pic.twitter.com/M7Uzr4gqBC

The original mural, which depicted Hillary Clinton in a red, white and blue string bikini with dollar bills tucked inside, was painted on the back brick wall of a local area business in Melbourne. The owner of the business was away at the time the mural was created, however the person who was in charge of the business during their absence claims that they had no problem with the mural on the wall.
In the end the city council won out, as the mural has now been completely covered in solid black paint. As an artist Lushsux is no stranger to controversy and he often tackles many elements of pop culture, positive and negative with his art. He recently painted a mural of a naked Melania Trump with two images of Donald Trump covering her breasts. Lushsux captioned the image on Twitter: “Decided to censor my work now as not to cause any offense.”
