The ashes of Hollywood legend Marlon Brando are reportedly being held hostage by his dead son’s widowed girlfriend.
Donna Lopez Geon was in a relationship with Marlon’s son, Christian, until he passed away in 2008. After Christian’s death, Donna took possession of several of Brando’s items – according to TMZ, this includes “a portion of the cremated remains of Marlon Brando.”
Now, Christian’s mother Anna Kashfi – who divorced Marlon in 1959 – wants the ashes returned to the direct family. Legal papers indicate that Geon refuses to return the remains, despite the fact that a judge has already named Anna as the executor of Christian’s estate.
When TMZ spoke to Geon, she said, “Christian wasn’t close with his family and wouldn’t have wanted his mother or anyone else to have his property when he died.” She added that she had spread some of the ashes in Franklin Canyon (in Beverly Hills) because “Marlon loved that place.”
After his death in 2004, Marlon’s remains were distributed to various people and have since been distributed in Tahiti and Death Valley.
