(PCM) There has been months and moths of speculation in regards to news about the new iPhone, however today, Apple has officially announced the release of not one, but two new devices: the iPhone 6 and the iPhone 6 Plus.
The new devices will be available for pre-order beginning on September 12th and will become available everywhere on September 19th.
Here are few details about the specs:
Both the iPhone 6 and the iPhone 6 Plus will feature “Retina HD” displays with the iPhone 6 measuring 4.7 inches and the iPhone 6 Plus coming in at 5.5 inches. The phones will also feature glass on the front displays that curve into the unit instead of laying flat.
Apple claims that these phone are also the thinnest phones they have created being 6.9mm and 7.1mm respectively. The phones will feature Apple’s new A8 processor and Apple also claims that the new phones will feature a much better battery life.
The iPhone 6 and the iPhone 6 plus will be available in gold, sliver and space grey and will feature the latest in Wifi tech and capabilities. The phones will also feature NFC built specifically for mobile payments. McDonald’s, Whole Foods, Disney, Panera, Sephora (and of course Apple themselves) will support one-touch payments from the device, though “Apple Pay” won’t launch until sometime in October.
