The View‘s co-host Elisabeth Hasselback made some negative remarks last Tuesday regarding the outfit choices of Dancing With The Stars’ Erin Andrews.
Hasselback tied in Andrews’ sexier wardrobes with the male stalkers Andrews has had to deal with in the past, and that factor is what made these next few statements so controversial.
“In light of what happened and as a legal (matter) and as inexcusable as it was for that horrific guy to go in and try to peep on her in her hotel room,” said Hasselback. “I mean, in some way if I’m him, I’m like, ‘Man! I just could’ve waited 12 weeks and seen this, a little bit less, without the prison time.'”
These words personally offended the dancer. Andrews told People magazine that her comments were, “a slap in the face to victims of stalking and sexual predators.”
“The thing that I was most upset about is I felt she was mocking a situation,” she said. “As a mother and a woman, I’m disappointed she went there.”
Hasselback went home from The View that day feeling sorry for what she had said, and spoke about it with her 5-year-old daughter about it. Check out her tearful apology below!
