And You Thought YOU Had a Big Family…

I’m guessing that, no matter how big your family, you can come nowhere NEAR the family of Ziona Chana. LatinTRENDS Magazine reports that Mr. Chana has — wait for it — THIRTY NINE WIVES, NINETY FOUR CHILDREN, AND THIRTY THREE GRANDCHILDREN! Not since Genghis Khan has a lineage been so prolific (for the non-history buffs, it is estimated that as many as 200,000 of Mongolia’s 2 million inhabitants — or, 10% of the total population — can trace its Y-chromosomial lineage to the great Mongolian conqueror…). According to the report, the family lives in a 100 room, 4 story house (hopefully with sufficient bathrooms!) in India. It often takes 30 chickens, over 130lbs. of potatoes, & over 200lbs. of rice to create a full meal. And for those of you men who complain about having one wife, Chana is a bit more optimistic in his outlook on life: “Today I feel like God’s special child. He’s given me so many people to look after. I consider myself a lucky man to be the husband of 39 women and head of the world’s largest family.”
