Actress And Socialite Zsa Zsa Gabor Dead At Age 99

(PCM) We are deeply saddened to learn that actress and socialite Zsa Zsa Gabor has passed away at the age of 99, just two months shy of her 100th birthday which would have taken place on February 6. Gabor’s publicist released a statement saying that Gabor’s life was ended by a sudden heart attack. She had been quite frail and had to use a wheelchair since being involved in a car accident back in 2002. She had been in and out of the hospital since 2010 and her leg had to be amputated in 2011. Many people refer to Gabor as the “original Kardashian” as they claim that she was famous for no apparent reason, however over the years she built up quite the reputation as both an accomplished actress and pop culture icon. She won the title of Miss Hungary in 1936 and was infamously married nine times, including once to Hilton patriarch Conrad Hilton. At her time death, Gabor was married to Frederic Prinz von Anhalt, whom she wed in 1986. Gabor also did three days of jail time in 1989 for slapping an LAPD police officer in the face during a routine traffic stop and had no issues throwing shade at those who made any sort of negative commentary about her lifestyle. Gabor could truly have a witty quote book all of her own. Some famous Gabor quote gems include:

“I never hated a man enough to give him his diamonds back” “I am a marvelous housekeeper. Every time I leave a man, I keep his house.” “I know nothing about sex, because I was always married.” “I don’t remember anybody’s name. How do you think the “dahling” thing got started?”

Also, in a statement her publicist went on to say “Most that are still around from the 1950s, ’60s and ’70s know that Zsa Zsa Gabor is an American icon and the key link in the Gabor-Hilton dynasty, which will still exist for generations to come. Gabor’s many marriages, gossipy adventures and occasional legal scuffles kept her in tabloid headlines for decades.” We can not believe that 2016 has claimed yet another pop culture icon!
