(PCM) TWELV Magazine put a sweet spin on an Alexander McQueen-inspired gown, creating a rainbow dress made out of 50,000 gummy bears for their debut issue.
The 220-pound dress was designed by TWELV’s Editor-In-Chief Hissa Igarashi and Fashion Editor Sayuri Marakumi, and modeled by Jessica Pitti.
How was the masterpiece created? With a lot of patience and will-power! First, steel wire is twisted to create the shape of the dress, then the mold is covered with a sheet of vinyl, and at last, each gummy bear is glued on in a chevron rainbow pattern – one at a time.
It took three weeks to complete the candy masterpiece.
