Nike’s new Air Yeezy 2’s, designed by rapper Kanye West, have an official price of $245, but those who were lucky enough to pre-order the shoes before their release date on Saturday have put the shoes up for auction on eBay with one listing having a bid of $89,100.
Shoe enthusiasts everywhere have been camping outside of shoe stores across the country for over a week, anxiously awaiting the arrival of Kanye West’s sneakers. A quick search on eBay shows numerous listings for the shoes with bids ranging from several hundred dollars to several thousand.
Kanye, who has become somewhat of a fashion icon, has been seen wearing the shoes for several months now creating hype and buzz culminating in the excitement around the shoe’s release.
