Since 1995, Superman fanatic Herbert Chavez has undergone multiple cosmetic surgeries on his lips, chins, and thighs in order to increase is likeness to the Man of Steel. Chavez also received rhinoplasty to transform his nose to look more like the late Christopher Reeeves’ and took injections to lighten his skin.
Despite his resemblance to Superman, Chavez is no Clark Kent. The avid comic book fan is a self-proclaimed pageant trainer and possesses a large amount of Superman memorabilia, but lacks the ability to fly and shoot heat-ray lasers from his eyes.
The Filipino’s neighbors are supportive of Chavez’s act because he keeps the children entertained and teaches them positive morals. Chavez plans to continue with his transformation and hopes to achieve a more muscular physique.
