Steven Tyler Set To Appear In Hawaii As Senate Bill 645-Known As The Steven Tyler Act- Is Presented!

Steven-Tyler1(PCM) STEVEN TYLER has gone from breaking the law, to making the law with his new proposed Senate bill. Hawaii Senate Bill 465, also known as the Steven Tyler Act, would create a civil cause of action for “constructive invasion of privacy” in the state of Hawaii. Tyler initiated–and is a proponent and vocal supporter of–the bill and will appear with fellow Hawaii resident Mick Fleetwood on Friday, February 8 as the bill is presented in a Senate hearing at the State Capitol in Honolulu, Hawaii. At this writing, the bill is being endorsed by 2/3 of the Senate.

The proposed bill (SB465) was modeled after the California Civil Code Section 1708.8, which was adopted by the California state legislature in 1998. SB465 would add a cause of action for constructive invasion of privacy in addition to the current cause of action for physical invasion of privacy in Hawaii. In the simplest terms, the proposed bill would provide a legal remedy for celebrities photographed while they are engaged in “personal or familial activity” and have a reasonable expectation of privacy. This new law would go beyond the more traditional invasion of privacy, which generally requires a physical trespass, by imposing liability on people who use zoom telephonic lenses or other high tech audio devices to capture images or audio of public figures as they are in their homes, or other private places, and then turn around and sell those images or audio files.

The ideals of the proposed bill, SB465, are already enshrined in the constitution of the State of Hawaii. Article 1, Section 6 grants the people the right of privacy, not to be infringed without a “compelling state interest.” Article 1, Section 7 goes further stating the “right of the people to be secure in their persons…against invasions of privacy shall not be violated.”

“The paradise of Hawaii is a magnet for celebrities who just want a peaceful vacation,” TYLER says. “As a person in the public eye, I know the paparazzi are there and we have to accept that. But when they intrude into our private space, disregard our safety and the safety of others, that crosses a serious line that shouldn’t be ignored.”

STEVEN TYLER allowed his name to be used for the bill after it was drafted by his attorney and manager, Dina LaPolt, at his bequest and presented to Senator J. Kalani English (Hana, East & Upcountry Maui, Molokai, Lanai and Kahoolawe) for consideration.

10 Stars We’d Give Hugs to on National Hugging Day

It may not be a federal holiday, but January 21 is still cause for celebration. It’s National Hugging Day! And, really, who doesn’t love a good hug?

There are all kinds of hugs: the I’m-here-for-you hug, the so-nice-to-see-you hug, the thank-you hug… really, the possibilities are endless. So in the spirit of spreading the love, we’ve compiled a list of celebrities who we would use the “National Hugging Day” excuse on if we happened to run into them on the 21st.

So while you get your arms prepped for all those hugs you’re about to give, check out who made our list and tell us who else would be on yours!

Katy Perry

It’s no secret that Katy is going through a difficult time right now. We had been rooting for Katy and Russell Brand to last forever, but with the impending divorce it seems all but hopeless. We would give her a hug just let her know we’re there for her and that she will get through this.

While Katy seems to be putting on an admirable strong front, we don’t blame her for being upset over the divorce. She even canceled her appearance at the People’s Choice Awards last weekend, which would have been her first appearance since news of the break-up, to keep out of the limelight. We love you Katy! *Hug*

Steven Tyler

This rock legend has always been a favorite of ours, but since joining the judging table for American Idol last season, we’ve discovered that many more reasons to adore him. Sure, he may be a little crude at times, but we’ve seen his heart, his passion, his vocals and his reaction to hearing a true talent and that’s enough to push him even further up the ranks.

But what really landed him a spot on the list was after watching last night’s conclusion of the two-night premiere event for Season 11 of American Idol. Everyone loves Steven, this is no surprise, but with every contestant and their mother getting the opportunity to hug Steven and come away raving about it, he definitely is added to our lets-hug list.

Demi Lovato

Demi’s tale this past year is nothing short of inspirational. We admit, as much as we love Demi, last year she would have made this list with a different sort of hug after being admitted into rehab for a myriad of issues, but she has truly transformed her life, her image and her role model status.

She can now be the image of hope and support that we all originally may have pictured her. She is a symbol of strength, positivity and, now, sobriety. If that doesn’t deserve a hug, well, we don’t know what does.

Vin Diesel

It takes a special sort of actor – and man – to pull off the tough guy role AND the family friendly role. But Vin does it with ease. Not only does he give us a sense of protection, but a surprising sense of warmth and humor.

Not to mention, he stated this past year in an issue of “Men’s Health Journal” that he likes hugging. So, uh, we’re not going to deny him.

Giuliana Rancic

It has been a trying year for this host. After being diagnosed with early stage breast cancer, she announced it to the whole world, underwent a double mastectomy among other treatments and has returned to work.

She’s one of the strongest women in Hollywood and has proved herself to not just be a role model but a beacon of hope. She’s shown that she is a fighter and for that, we not just admire and congratulate her, but we put her on the lets-hug list.

Jon Bon Jovi

He’s Jon Bon Jovi, so to be quite honest – we don’t need a reason to want to hug this Renaissance man. But, he did beat out other celebs who we would have argued the same reasons for (think Ryan Gosling) because of that terrifying death rumor that spread about him last month.

Thankfully he is alive and even proved it with a picture of himself where he’s holding a sign that is dated that very day, but we’d like to hug him just to make 3000% sure that he’s alive and well. And, again, he’s Jon Bon Jovi. ‘Nuff said.

The Cast of Harry Potter

Everyone gets that feeling from time to time like something is missing. But, sadly, we know what is missing from our lives now that the Harry Potter series is finished and all the last movie has been released just this past year. No longer do we have the promise of new storylines and information to discover.

We still have the movies to watch and the books to read and we even have the Wizarding World of Harry Potter to visit when we need a true dose of Hogwarts, but we would love to just give the cast of the Harry Potter movies a hug so that we can get a better sense of goodbye. It’s never really goodbye, but a wrap-up hug would just put us more at ease.

Revenge’s Daniel Grayson

Revenge is arguably the best new show on TV  and features a great collection of characters. But one that stands out as someone we would really like to hug is Daniel Grayson. He doesn’t want to just be the rich boy. He’s sweet, he’s caring… and he has no idea what’s coming down the line for him.

This would probably be a long hug, because we not only thing he’s a great guy, but we know that as much as he loves Emily, he is going to get hurt. Both literally and figuratively. So we’d really like to hug him while we can and try not to cry while doing so.

Howie Mandel

Okay, at first glance this may seem a strange choice. But Howie is an unstoppable force and he seems like a great guy. Between America’s Got Talent, Deal of No Deal and Mobbed, Howie shows no signs of stopping down and for this we are definitely always excited to see him.

But we’d be lying if we didn’t admit that part of the reason he made the list is because of what we imagine to be the exclusivity of his hugs. The man has mysophobia, an irrational fear of germs, so the hugs may be few and far between (we have seen him hug people!), but we’d like to be among the few people who can say we’ve hugged Howie!

The Impractical Jokers

We hope you’ve heard of this show by now, if not already fallen in love with it, or else we’re afraid you haven’t been getting the appropriate doses of laughter on Thursday nights. Joe, Murray, Sal and Q are the four best friends behind this tear-inducing laugh riot series and they would definitely be getting a “thank you” hug.

Thank you, guys, for coming into our lives when reality TV was at an all-time bore and providing us with endless enjoyment. Really, it’s endless; we can watch the repeats over and over and laugh like we’ve never seen it before.  Besides, for what they put themselves through, they deserve a little – arguably a lot of – love.

American Idol Judging Trio Will All Return for New Season

After a stellar Season 10, Idol fans can rejoice in news that the three beloved judges of last season will once again be reunited for Season 11. While Jennifer Lopez had been “on the fence” in announcing whether she would return, yesterday morning American Idol executive producer Nigel Lythgoe told the audience of “On Air with Ryan Seacrest” that J.Lo will, in fact, be returning alongside her fellow judges Randy Jackson and Steven Tyler.

Seacrest prompted the announcement when he asked Lythgoe, “Do you want to do the Jennifer announcement here or are we still waiting?”

Lythgoe replied, “I believe we’re still waiting for the official announcements but I am delighted to say that all three judges, along with the brilliant host of American Idol, is back for the next season.”

Idol veteran Randy Jackson and the ever-amusing Steven Tyler already have deals for another season (and of course Ryan would be back!), so the only thing that had been holding back the announcement was J.Lo’s deal.

Even Lythgoe acknowledges it isn’t “official” just yet… not until Fox says so, but it’s certainly the most promising news yet for those fans of J.Lo and the current roster of judges. It’s also being reported that her last season paycheck of $12 million has increased by 60% to provide her with a $20 million paycheck for this upcoming season.

We can’t imagine why J.Lo wouldn’t return considering the show provided an all-out revitalization of her career. On the show, she was able to promote her new album, single, and also land several movie deals… not to mention the “most beautiful woman” title she snagged from People this year.

We hope Steven Tyler takes this into consideration as well because we have never loved him more! So we’re crossing our fingers a year early that he doesn’t leave the show for Season 12.

Season 11 kicks off in January 2012, but the team is hitting the road soon to hear auditions in cities including Denver, Houston, St. Louis, Portland, San Diego, Pittsburgh and Charleston.

American Idol Results Show Full of Surprises

This Thursday’s American Idol results show was one of the most shocking shows yet.

The night began with a surprise appearance by Stevie Wonder who showed up to wish his friend Steven Tyler a happy birthday. Then finalists James Durban and Paul McDonald confessed their love of pro wrestling. Ryan Seacrest called them both center stage to tell them their fate and said neither of them were safe. After the audience shocked response he repeated himself and then Hulk Hogan appeared to let the awestruck contestants know they were in fact safe from elimination.

As the show continued the bottom three were revealed which included Thia Megia, Stefano Langone, and Casey Abrams. As if the names of the bottom three weren’t shocking enough, things got even more exciting as the one in danger of elimination was revealed. Casey had the lowest number of votes and began to perform in hopes of earning the judges save and remaining another week in the competition.

He started singing and then Ryan ran on the the stage waving his arms for Casey to stop. Casey abruptly stopped his song looking very confused. Then the focus turned to the judges who said they knew who Casey was and didn’t need to hear him sing because they had already decided to save him.

Casey looked like he was going to pass out due to shock. The decision to use the one save of the season this early in the competition was unexpected, but things got even more surprising. Ryan then announced that this year for the first time ever the American Idol tour would include the top 11.  So the tour group will include Casey Abrams, Haley Reinhart, Jacob Lusk, James Durbin, Lauren Alaina, Naima Adedapo, Paul McDonald, Pia Toscano, Scotty McCreery, Stefano Langone and Thia Megia.

Nikki Six Speaks About Steven Tyler Joining A.I.

Last night on Sixx Sense, international rock icon Nikki Sixx responded to the verbal sparring between Aerosmith’s Steven Tyler and Kid Rock regarding Tyler’s decision to join American Idol as a judge. Kid Rock has stated publically that it’s “…the stupidest thing he’s (Tyler) ever done in his life…”, while Tyler has said Kid Rock is “just jealous” and suggests he is trying to attract attention to his new album.
