JWoww is Officially Off the Market!

Jenni “JWoww” Farley is engaged! Yup, she is marrying her boyfriend of two years, Roger Matthews.

As you might remember from the show, JWoww reunited with Roger while filming a season of MTV’s Jersey Shore. At the time when they met, she was still dating ex-boyfriend Tom Lippolis. However, their relationship was going south and the way she felt about Roger showed her she needed to be single. I guess it was love at first site.

Now instead of rocking in a club, she is rocking a 5 carat ring. Not only that, but it is surrounded by 2.5 pink and white carats.

Apparently he popped the question during a recent skydiving session, how daring!

What did her cast mate Snooki have to tweet after hearing the big news? “CONGRATS on the engagement boo! Love you so much.”

First comes love, then comes marriage, then comes a baby in a baby carriage. I feel this is a much better motto for the new MTV show Snooki and JWoww. They have been making some huge life changes this past year, and I am so happy I get to sit back and watch.

PCM gives JWoww and Roger a major fist pump on their new engagement. Good luck!!!!!

Lauren Conrad and Kristin Cavallari Still Hatin’

(PCM) Although most people probably don’t care about how some former reality stars feel about each other – I do! I was a dedicated MTV’s Laguna Beach fan, as the marathons gave me something to do as I cleaned my room on Sundays.

Laguna Beach provided spin-offs such as The Hills and The City, but LB was where it was at. One of the major recurring “dramas” on the show was a love triangle between Kristin Cavallari, Stephen Colletti, and Lauren Conrad.

To give you a blast from the past, Colletti and Conrad were typical BFFS. You know, the ones where one person secretly likes the other one and that person just waits for the other to realize that they were actually meant to be together. In this case, I am referring to Conrad being in love with Colletti.

However, Conrad did not anticipate Cavallari having owned some stock in the situation. (Wow, all of their last names inconveniently start with a “C”)

Anyhoo, Cavallari had a continuous romance with the man of the hour. Seems he couldn’t decide between his long-time best friend, and his on and off again girlfriend.

Fast forward many years later and they are all leading different lives. Colletti played Chase Adams on The CW’s One Tree Hill for five years. Conrad has established her own clothing line, which I personally buy at Kohl’s. And, Cavallari just had a baby boy named Cameron (ah another “C”) with husband and quarterback Jay Cutler.

When Conrad was asked if she has any warm wishes for her former LB co-star regarding her new baby boy, she responded, “I don’t talk to Kristin anymore.” Ouch! Not even a, “Even though we don’t talk, I heard about the news and wish her the best of luck!”

Yikes, stuff just got real!

The Stork Was Busy This Weekend With Two Baby Deliveries!

There were two celebrities that became mothers this past weekend. One House Bunny and one Guidette to be exact. The 35-year-old Anna Faris and the 24-year-old Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi both gave birth to little boys.

Faris and her Parks and Recreation hubby Chris Pratt gave birth to their son Jack this weekend.

“Anna Faris and Chris Pratt are happy to announce the birth of their beautiful baby boy Jack,” their rep tells E! News. “He arrived earlier than expected and will be spending some time in the NICU. The happy parents thank you for your warm wishes and ask that you honor their privacy during this time.”

As for Polizzi, her and fiance Jionni LaValle gave birth to son Lorenzo Dominic LaValle earlier this morning. The little “meatball” was delivered in Livingston, NJ at 3 AM.

Snooki of course had time to notify fans on Twitter after Enzo’s birth: “I am SO IN LOVE with my son Lorenzo Dominic ! I had my little man last night, healthy at 6lbs! HE’S MY WORLD! ❤”

Congratulations to the two new mothers. If you ever need a babysitter, I’d be happy to give up a Saturday night of fist-pumping to watch Blues Clues with your fine new gentlemen.

Snooki to Have A Baby Boy

Snooki recently revealed the sex of her baby; it’s a boy!

Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi, star of MTV’s Jersey Shore, told In Touch Weekly the good news in their latest issue, also revealing that she and her fiance, Jionni La Valle, already have two names up for consideration; Lorenzo and Jionni Jr. Snooki broke news of her pregnancy in March and is expected to be due this fall. Snooki told In Touch “I thought it was going to be a girl, I was hoping it would be, because all girls want girls. It’s still my baby no matter what, I’m excited either way!”

Earlier this week we reported that Snooki will not be living in the Jersey Shore house this summer for the filming of the upcoming season, but MTV has yet to comment on the news.

Happy Birthday, MTV!

On August 1, 1981, at 12:01 AM, the network that would end up shaping music and video culture launched with images of the Apollo 11 followed by The Buggles’ “Video Killed the Radio Star” music video. That’s right, today is MTV’s 30th birthday!

While we may look at the lack of videos now played on MTV and the tiresome yet somehow popular shows on MTV today like Jersey Shore and 16 & Pregnant, that does nothing to discredit all of the promise MTV did and could someday hold again for its impact on the music industry.

With shows like Yo! MTV Raps, Headbangers Ball, MTV Unplugged, The Real World, Total Request Live, Beavis and Butt-Head, The Osbournes, Punk’d, Celebrity Deathmatch and countless others, it’s no wonder that “I Want My MTV” has been a slogan for 30 years now. The colors of the MTV logo may have changed over the years, but we all know we will always recognize those letters that ushered in new generations of music.

MTV was the beginning of a music revolution and the first TV network to develop itself as a “brand.” And it all began 30 years ago today on a single cable system in northern New Jersey with the original VJs: Alan Hunter, Nina Blackwood, Mark Goodman, and Martha Quinn.

So however old you may be now, today is the day to break out your VCR and put in your old VHS recordings of your favorite MTV show and catch up with the memories. At the very least, be sure to watch your favorite music video so that we can reassure ourselves the music video is no dying art. Happy Birthday, MTV! We do still want you.
