The cops have announced that James Jay Lee, the man who took hostages in Discovery Channel Headquarters, has been shot.
They do not know the condition of the suspect yet.
Around 3 PM EST, SWAT entered the building. The hostages are safe and accounted for.
When the police confronted Lee, one of the devices he had strapped to himself exploded.
Police say the building is not yet safe because some of Lee’s backpacks may have explosives.

At about 1 pm, Wednesday, the police were called when an armed man entered the Discovery Channel headquarters building in Silverspring, MD with “metallic canisters” strapped to his body. At least one shot has been heard since he went in and took hostages.
Police, FBI, ATF, and SWAT are on the scene and have been in negotiations with him for over an hour.

Google may have just found a way to make YouTube profitable.
After buying the site for 1.65 Billion in stock back in ‘06, Google hasn’t found a way to actually make a buck off of YouTube. So, amidst the recent news of Blockbuster going bust, Google has helped to kick Blockbuster while it’s down, announcing that YouTube will now offer Pay-Per-View movies.
New titles are expected to be about $5, and my guess would be the standard 24-hour rental period would stay put. What makes this intriguing isn’t the price, or the

Buddy cop movies are a tried-and-true formula in Hollywood. Although recent attempts have proven a bit flat, allthough enjoyable (i.e. Cop Out), there is still a charm about two guys working together to solve a crime… with guns.
The latest offering will feature Ryan Reynolds and Bradley Cooper, as Risky Business is reporting that the duo will star in a Sheldon Turner (Up in the Air) written adventure.
The article posits, “The actioner is meant to have an updated Lethal Weapon flavor that plays into edgier R-rated territory.”

Actress Lindsay Lohan just can’t seem to stay out of trouble. She was pulled over in West Hollywood late last night after running through a stop sign in her $150,000 Maserati. One report claims she ran multiple stop signs at speeds up to 120mph. However that seems unlikely since she managed to get away with only a warning.
