There were two celebrities that became mothers this past weekend. One House Bunny and one Guidette to be exact. The 35-year-old Anna Faris and the 24-year-old Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi both gave birth to little boys. Faris and her Parks and Recreation hubby Chris Pratt gave birth to their son Jack this weekend. “Anna Faris and Chris Pratt are happy to announce the birth of their beautiful baby boy Jack,” their rep tells E! News. “He arrived earlier than expected and will be spending some time in the NICU. The happy parents thank you for your warm wishes and ask that you honor their privacy during this time.” As for Polizzi, her…Read more

(PCM) What’s better on a hot August day than a delicious, icy popsicle? Today you can get all sorts of flavors and make even stranger ones on your own, but that doesn’t take away from the classics… like the cherry popsicle. While we encourage you to explore the wonders of the popsicle world, this weekend, we prize the cherry above all else in order to celebrate National Cherry Popsicle Day on August 26. Whether you make your own, go out to the grocery store and stock up on your favorite brands or even pay the ice cream man a visit, there is hardly a better weekend to celebrate the cherry….Read more

Now THIS is what I call patient-centered care! Catherine Baucom, MD, of Baton Rouge, LA was on her way to the hospital to perform surgery when she got caught in a bumper-to-bumper traffic jam. Instead of calling the hospital to warn the patient and prep team of the delay, she did the unthinkable: she abandoned her car and took off on her own two feet. Dr. Baucom remembered that a friend lived just a few blocks away from where she was stopped, so she jumped out of her car, ran to the friend’s house, and asked to borrow a bike. But we’re not talking about just any bike: the nearly…Read more

Jennifer Lopez… will you stop making us feel like such underachievers? Recently, I reported that Beyonce Knowles was working on a documentary film about her life. And now, another pop diva is doing the same thing… but in 3D. Extra’s Maria Menounos talked exclusively with Lopez’s manager Benny Medina who confirmed this news. J.Lo is, in fact, currently shooting footage for a 3D concert film appropriately called “Dance Again.” The film will document her life from the past few years and the challenges we have all heard and read about in the media. Her story will be intertwined with concert footage and behind the scenes shots. Lopez will have more…Read more

Remember back in 2002 when Columbia Pictures put out an action thriller that took place in a room? When they gave one of the main parts to a young Kristen Stewart. If Panic Room comes to mind then we are on the same page, or the same scene. Back before Stewart was running around with cold-blooded dazzling vampires, she was trying to survive in a panic room with co-star Jodie Foster. After dragging myself through four installments of the Twilight series, I was shocked to watch that movie again and see K-Stew as an 11-year-old baby. Fast forward a decade later, and the two former co-stars are still on good…Read more

Canon U.S.A., Inc., has announced the first photography-inspired film festival in history, aligning with five influential celebrities from five diverse disciplines who will each direct short films under the tutelage of two-time Academy Award® winner Ron Howard. Eva Longoria, Jamie Foxx, Biz Stone, Georgina Chapman and James Murphy have signed on for year two of Canon’s “Long Live Imagination” campaign and the next endeavor, “Project Imaginat10n,” where consumer photographs will inspire Hollywood films. In 2011, Ron Howard and Canon U.S.A. invited photographers of all levels to submit their most imaginative photographs based on eight elements of storytelling for an unprecedented user-generated contest, “Project Imagin8ion.” The project set out to prove…Read more

(PCM) Marvin Hamlisch passed away suddenly at age 68, and the worlds of music and musical theater are quite a bit darker because of it. And so is my world, as I remember the many times over the past 15 years that we spent together having lunch and talking about his creativity and passion. Mr. Hamlisch died on Monday, August 6, after a brief illness. He was a true gentleman in every sense of the word, from the moment we met in Boca Raton, Florida, and in subsequent interviews. When I think of that first meeting at the Boca Raton Resort & Club, I have to smile. Moments after greeting…Read more

They’ve been rumored to be fighting for the heart of Rihanna for months and there’s still no 100% clear winner. So Chris Brown and Drake are doing exactly what any red blooded American/Canadian boys (in the 1840s) would do: box it out. Hollyscoop reports that after several offers for an official match, Brown and Drake have agreed to punch it out during three one-minute rounds (such babies!) in 24 oz. gloves for a charity match at the MGM Grand Casino in Las Vegas. The match is a carry over ‘grudge match’ from their brawl at the W.i.P nightclub in June. Tony Parker, who was hurt in the fight and is…Read more
