Little Monsters everywhere will be happy to hear that Gaga is releasing a coffee table book with famed photographer Terry Richardson. The book will center on Gaga’s Monster Ball tours and focus on backstage pictures of her and the crew. Richardson followed Gaga for nearly 10 months and got some very personal photos of the eccentric singer: “He is on the bus with me. He just follows me everywhere,” she says of Richardson. “He’ll photograph me when I’m changing – those quick changes during the show. And sometimes I’ll have to pee during the show, and I’m always screaming, ‘Terry, get out!’” The book is 350 pages with black and…Read more

The cover story from the new issue of Us Weekly features an interview with Denise Richards! She opens up about her relationship with Charlie Sheen and explaining the “goddesses” to her daughters, as well as an exclusive excerpt from her memoir. About having nice things to say about Sheen in her book, “The Real Girl Next Door,” she says, “I didn’t want to be sitting here as a bitter ex-wife trashing my ex-husband and saying all these nasty things about the father of my children. Everyone has heard about our nasty split. It’s an up-and-down relationship. But we get through those down times. That’s just the nature of an addict.”…Read more

A new guy for the good girl? A source tells the new issue of Us Weekly that Paper Crown designer Lauren Conrad, 25, looked enamored with Teen Wolf hottie Colton Haynes, 23, when the two shared a table at the HTC Status phone launch on July 20 — and the pair even exchanged numbers at night’s end. While a Conrad insider says “they are friends and have known each other forever,” a witness is more affirmative: “She was into him, and vice versa. They went to a club afterward.” Yet Haynes — who appeared on two episodes of The Hills when Conrad interned at Teen Vogue — could end up…Read more

It happens every two years and it encompasses the world over. It may not be as popularized as the National Spelling Bee, but the National Geographic World Championship is just as important in its message and difficult in its preparation. Wednesday, July 27, the Russian team, comprised of three 16-year-olds Egor Shustov, Masha Samoletova and Alexander Bondarchuk, took home the gold medal in the “brain Olympics” and beat out 16 other competing countries. Want to see if you could have come up with the winning answer? Here’s the question that decided which of the final three teams, Canada, Russia and Chinese Taipei, would win the World Championship: which island has…Read more

London based prop designer Andrew Ainsworth, who created the original stormtrooper helmets for Star Wars, has won a case against director George Lucas. Ainsworth was being sued by Lucas in an effort to stop him from making and selling replicas of the costumes. Ainsworth successfully argued that the helmets were functional works and not artistic, therefore not subject to full copyright laws. The court ruled that Ainsworth could continue to sell the replicas in Britain, but not in the United States. Ainsworth told BBC, ”I am proud to report that in the English legal system David can prevail against Goliath if his cause is right. If there is a Force, then it has been with…Read more

American-born celebs like Angelina Jolie and Gweneth Paltrow should cherish their bizzarre baby-naming birthright, because New Zealand has zero tolerance for this type of Western creativity. Not only would the starlet’s choices of Apple, Maddox, Moses, and Pax be frowned upon and forbidden down under, but thanks to the country’s Registrar of Births, Deaths and Marriage there are strict formulae and rules according to which citizens may title their tykes. Maybe when we hunger for and demand every civil liberty under the American sun, we take for granted that down under, new mothers can’t freely denominate their newborns. According to Australia’s Herald Sun, NZ has truly been cracking down on creative…Read more
