Actor Rainn Wilson Launches New Website, SoulPancake.com, to Spur Real Debate on Life’s Big Questions

Actor Rainn Wilson, who plays Dwight Schrute on NBC’s The Office, has debuted a new community Website, SoulPancake.com, to provide a venue for thoughtful, irreverent, and real conversations about creativity, spirituality, and what it means to be human.

The first-of-its-kind site, which was in beta testing for nearly a year, has experienced heavy traffic and rapid growth: Since its launch, it has had more than 7 million page views from 2 million visitors across 212 countries. “SoulPancake is about creative expression as a form of ‘worship’—a way to connect with the world and with the rest of the people on the planet,” Wilson says.

SoulPancake.com ladles up thought-provoking, sometimes humorous content, including provocative Life’s Big Questions; exclusive videos; articles and interviews; and creative challenges. Wilson will also host his own mini-talk show on the site called “Metaphysical Milkshake,” where he interviews various noteworthy people about the intersection of faith and art.

User engagement is rich on the site, as well. Take the Question Collective, which encourages the more than 28,000 users registered on SoulPancake.com to pose their own questions and engage in the debate that follows. The section has emerged as one of the greatest drivers of honest, deep, interactive, and thoughtful dialogue on the site. In fact, these discussions often scale into threads with hundreds of responses in a matter of minutes.

“We wanted to get people talking,” Wilson says. “These are the questions everyone thinks about and no one has the guts to pose. At SoulPancake.com, you can ask. In fact, we command you to ask.”

A sampling of recent Life’s Big Questions posed on the site:

· If you could ask God one question, what would it be?

· If you had one hour left on earth, how would you spend it?

· What does art have to do with the soul? Continue reading

Katherine Heigl – Too Pretty to Run

Killers Movie Poster
Katherine Heigl abruptly traded her TV doctor’s gown for the big screen, but apparently, the non action packed hospital setting is more her style.

Heigl stars opposite Ashton Kutcher in the new summer film, Killers. It’s a story about a girl next store single girl who unknowingly marries a CIA agent. Kutcher, who also produced the film, was unenthused about Heigl’s participation in the romantic comedy’s action scenes and her persistent use of a stunt double. He even poked fun at the star, claiming she considered running to be a stunt.

Heigl didn’t deny the claims noting, “Actually, I do, because it’s dangerous. I have bad feet and I have weak ankles. If you have to do it over and over again, you can hurt yourself.”

Celebrity Magnet Losing His Powers?

Tom Murro officially started his career as the Celebrity Magnet when he met the President in September, 2009. Over the past few months, he has learned that his Celebrity magnet powers are weakened when he is further away from his targeted celebrity, and he is asking for YOUR help in getting this picture, signed by Yogi, to President Obama.

Yogi still claims that Jackie Robinson was out, and even wants to tell President Barack Obama on the signed photograph that PCM’s Tom Murro (The Celebrity Magnet) is trying to get to 1300 Pennsylvania Avenue, in Washington, D.C. as a gift for our 44th President.

The picture is obstructed at the moment that the picture was taken at game one of the 1955 World Series, by Sports Illustrated’s Mark Kauffman, but the ref’s call trumped the claim from Mr. Berra.

The ‘55 World Series matched the Brooklyn Dodgers against the New York Yankees, with the Dodgers winning the Series in seven games to capture their first championship in franchise history. It was the only Series the Dodgers won in Brooklyn, since they relocated to Los Angeles after the 1957 season. The last time the Brooklyn MLB team had won a World Championship was in 1900.

Jackie Robinson of the Brooklyn Dodgers was declared safe after stealing home against Yogi Berra of the New York Yankees during World Series opening game at Yankee Stadium on Sept. 28 1955.

Do you have a way to contact the Commander-in-Chief? If so, tell him there is an authentic piece of baseball history, with his name on it, just waiting to be framed and put up on the well, complimets of the Celebrity Magnet.

Aaron Carter Says Lindsay Deserves To Be Punished

After failing to show up to her probation hearing last week  (Lindsay claims she lost of passport while abroad in Cannes),  Lindsay finally showed up in court on Monday – ten minutes late, of course. Judge Marsha Revel imposed new conditions on the actress, ordering Lindsay to wear an alcohol monitoring device and undergo random weekly drug and alcohol testing.

Lindsay’s objections that these conditions would hinder an upcoming film project were ignored. The star is also ordered to appear in court again in July, where she might face even more sanctions.

Ex-boyfriend Aaron Carter was asked to comment on charges brought against Lindsay. He told OK Magazine:

“It hurts me to see that. I hope she can really learn something from this. They are going to make an example of you now, Lindsay, and you deserve it …You don’t get in the car with two people and go chasing after your assistant going a hundred miles an hour down PCH,” Aaron added. “I don’t know what to say about it anymore. I’m pissed! … If I had a chance to talk to her, she would probably end up trying to attack me or something, because the things that I would have to say would be very blunt and not everybody else has told her. I haven’t gotten a chance to talk to her because she knows that if I did, I’m the only one who would be real because her to everybody else [is], ‘Oh, Lindsay! You’re a star!’ Not me. I’ve been doing it my whole life, sweetheart. I don’t need you. There was times when you needed me, so don’t forget that.”

Ouch.

Bret Michaels Wins Celebrity Apprentice

After suffering from a major hemorrhage and stroke, Bret Michaels not only makes a miraculous recovery, he is “hired” by The Trump! Michaels is the winner of this year’s “Celebrity Apprentice”, winning $250,000 for his charity of choice, the American Diabetes Association.  He seemed in good spirits throughout the show, overwhelmed from fan support and “awesomeness”.

But Bret isn’t quite in the clear yet. He told Access Hollywood that he will be having heart surgery in the fall. “What they’ll do is they’ll go in and they’ll do the heart operation in the fall,” Michaels says. “They have to let everything clear out and then they’ll go in and do the operation in my heart and then I’m gonna be great. I don’t have any other options except to think that it’s gonna be great, it’s gonna be a smooth operation and I’m gonna feel awesome.”

Bret still plans to kick off his tour in Biloxi this Friday.
